FIREPLACE MANTEL & ILLUMINATED WALL SHELVES
This fireplace mantel was custom designed and built for a holiday residence in Wisconsin U.S.A. The design motif is inspired by traditional Thai hand carving. The shelves are imported teak with facades hand carved in Thailand, shipped to the US and then fitted into the custom built frames.
These wall-mounted illuminated shelves were custom designed and built to complement the traditional fireplace mantel. Classic teak wood was hand carved in Thailand using the same Thai design motif, and then hand assembled into the custom built shelves which feature LED illumination and frosted glass panels. The original design featured carved teak sconces which concealed the wall-mountings.
