DASHBOARD APP + NLG
A web-based dashboard provides a quick and concise overview of important events in an energy distribution system to shift managers through a visual summary of Feeder and Customer status, as well as a textual summary of what is happening. Another key function is to generate notifications on important events tailored to specific user types. The system utilises Arria's proprietary Natural Language Generation (NLG) technology to display humanised text from data.
Information is presented hierarchically, with the most important reading from top left to right, and then down in the familiar 'F' pattern. This enables the user to quickly identify issues and accessing more detailed information through modal windows and expanding and collapsible text.
A complete UI design specification document was created for off-site, outsourced development teams.
